¡Hola!, soy Daniela. Vosotros me conocéis, habéis oído de mí o no tenéis ni idea de quién soy. Pero está bien. Yo era una estudiante de intercambio de los Estados Unidos. He estado aquí durante dos meses y dos semanas. Creo que es bastante tiempo para darme cuenta de las diferencias entre vuestro mundo y el mío. ¡Está claro que empiezo con la educación!.

Hello!, I am Daniela!. You know me, have heard of me or have not even idea of who I am. But it is nice. I was a student of interchange of the United States. I have been here for two months and two weeks. I believe that it is enough time to realize the differences between your world and mine. There is clear that I begin with the Education!.

Where I live, in the United States, in Atlanta, the classes begin at a quarters after eight in the morning and end at a quarters after three in the evening. I come to the Institute of Secondary Education and these schedules are alone for the levels nine up to twelve. There the lowest levels, seven up to twelve we are in the school. In whole we remain in the school twelve years at least. The Education begins with 'pre-school', later we continue with 'Kinder-garten', and on having finished it continue this way:

· Levels 1 to 5: 'Elementary'.
· Levels 6 to 8: 'Middle School'.
· Levels 9 to 12: 'High School' (East is the level in which I am).

When the level finishes 12, we graduate and attend to the University, but you have to extract good notes. This one also (that of the qualifications) is a great difference, look:

100-90 = to (Excellent) (They Are my punctuations)
89-80 = B ( Very good)
79-74 = C ( Well)
73-70 = D (Sufficient, O.K.)
69-0 = F (The worst)

With the good notes we receive scholarships. That is to say, the education is free. I am going to graduate in May and I will receive a free education!. I am going to study to be a nurse for children. Additional to the requirements to receive the scholarships, we have to do the most important examination: the SAT. It is too difficult to explain in only a few phrases.

Inside the educational system we have dance in the levels 8 and 12, besides games of basketball, American football, baseball and any another sport. The dances are moments to celebrate everything what we have achieved.
In general, there are many ... not, many malls, parks, clubs, cinemas and much more. There are places to play to the skittles, to skate (in I freeze also during the winter), to swim ... and restaurants ..., whatever you want. Do not matter all the years have!. And the majority of these places are opened every day the whole day.

Here, in Spain, you can smoke and drink anything and when want in some cases. In America it is not allowed until we are eighteen years old to smoke and twenty-one to drink. On the contrary, it is allowed to lead when we have alone fifteen years, what very good!. Besides it, we can work, also, when we are fifteen years old. It is much more that to count, but it is better than us visit or learn in your own time, since I have visited and learned.

It has been an authentic pleasure my stay in Spain and in Las Llamas! And the food also!.

Al otro lado del mundo

¡Hola!, soy Daniela. Vosotros me conocéis, habéis oído de mí o no tenéis ni idea de quién soy. Pero está bien. Yo era una estudiante de intercambio de los Estados Unidos. He estado aquí durante dos meses y dos semanas. Creo que es bastante tiempo para darme cuenta de las diferencias entre vuestro mundo y el mío. ¡Está claro que empiezo con la educación!.

Donde yo vivo, en los Estados Unidos, en Atlanta, las clases comienzan a las ocho y cuarto por la mañana y terminan a las tres y cuarto por la tarde. Yo acudo al Instituto de Educación Secundaria y estos horarios son sólo para los niveles nueve hasta doce. Allí los niveles más bajos, siete hasta doce, estamos en la escuela. En total permanecemos en la escuela doce años por lo menos. La Educación comienza con 'pre-school', después continuamos con 'Kinder-garten', y al finalizar eso continuamos así:
· Niveles 1 a 5: 'Elementary'.
· Niveles 6 a 8: 'Middle School'.
· Niveles 9 a 12: 'High School' (Éste es el nivel en el que estoy yo).

Al finalizar el nivel 12, nos graduamos y asistimos a la Universidad, pero tienes que sacar notas buenas. Ésta también (la de las calificaciones) es una gran diferencia, mirad:

100-90 = A (Excelente) (Son mis puntuaciones).
89-80 = B (Buenísimo)
79-74 = C (Bien).
73-70 = D (Suficiente, O.K.)
69-0 = F (La peor).

Con las notas buenas recibimos becas. Es decir, la educación es gratis. Yo voy a graduarme en mayo ¡y recibiré una educación gratis!. Voy a estudiar para ser una enfermera para niños. Adicionalmente a los requisitos para recibir las becas, tenemos que hacer el examen más importante: el SAT. Es demasiado difícil de explicar en sólo unas pocas frases.

Dentro del sistema educativo tenemos danza en los niveles 8 y 12, además de partidos de baloncesto, fútbol americano, béisbol y cualquier otro deporte. Las danzas son momentos para celebrar todo lo que nosotros hemos logrado.

En general, hay muchos... no, muchísimos centros comerciales, parques, clubs, cines y mucho más. Hay lugares para jugar a los bolos, patinar (en hielo también durante el invierno), nadar... y restaurantes..., cualquier cosa que queráis. ¡No importa cuantos años tengáis!. Y la mayoría de estos lugares están abiertos cada día todo el día.

Aquí, en España, podéis fumar y beber cualquier cosa y cuando queráis en algunos casos. En América no se permite hasta que tengamos dieciocho años para fumar y veintiuno para beber. Por el contrario, está permitido conducir cuando tenemos solo quince años, ¡qué guay!. Además de eso, podemos trabajar, también, cuando tenemos quince años. Hay mucho más que contar, pero es mejor que nos visitèis o aprendáis en vuestro propio tiempo, como yo he visitado y aprendido.

¡Ha sido un auténtico placer mi estancia en España y en Las Llamas! ¡Y la comida también!.
