Interview with Carmen

Por Izaskun, Elisa, Sara, Raúl, Sandra, Eduardo, Iván, Fernando, Lara y Samuel, alumnos de 6º de Primaria del CP El Castañal de Selaya.

Vamos a presentar a Carmen, nuestra nueva compañera. Ella estaba aquí, en esta escuela, hace dos años, pero se fue a Inglaterra y luego a India.

Un momento de la entrevista.

We are going to introduce Carmen, our new partner. She was here, in this school, two years ago, but she went to England and then to India.

- Hello Carmen, welcome back to Selaya. We are going to ask you some questions.
- OK.

1- How old are you? – I´m eleven years old.

2- Have you got any brothers or sisters? – No, I haven´t.

3- What´s your favourite colour? – Yellow.

4- What´s your favourite food? – My favourite food is “fish masala”. It´s fish and a spicy tomato sauce.

5- What´s your favourite football player? – I don´t have one.

6- What´s your favourite football team? – I hate football.

7- What´s your favourite game or sport? – Karate.

8- Have you computer games? – No.

9- Have you got any animals? – No, I have no animals.

10- Where are you from? - I am from Spain.

11- What are your surnames? – Harvey Sainz de la Maza. My father is English and my mother is Spanish. In Japan, England and India they only use the first surname.

12- Where did you live in the past? – I lived in Japan when I was a little child, in Bath (England), in Kovalam (South of India) and now in Selaya (Spain) again.

13- Were you happy in England? – Yes, I was.

14- How is a normal day in England? – I get up at 8, I start school at 9, I have lunch at 12,15, I come out at 3,30. At home, I do my homework, I read or watch some telly and I go to bed at 9,30.

15- Did you like India? – Yes, I like it very much.

16- Were you happy in India? – Yes, very happy.

17- Did you live well in India? – Yes.

18- Had you got a dog in India? – I have never had a dog.

19- Did you go to school there? – No.
Why? – Because our plans did not work.

20- What´s your favourite thing of India? – The elephants and visiting the Taj Mahal in Agra. Is it difficult to go up on an elephant? – No, they help you. They tie up the elephant and you go up a low hill of some steps and then you ride the elephant.

21- Why did you come back to Spain? - Because it´s my home.

22- Do you like Selaya? – Yes, I think it´s the best place in the world.

23- Is your house big or small, and in England and in India? – I live in a small flat. In England I lived in a cottage and in India I lived in a small house.

24- Have you got many friends? – Yes.

25- What´s your favourite language? – My favourite language is Spanish.

26- Do you like speaking English? – Yes, it´s useful.

27- Do you like travelling? – Yes, it´s very interesting and fun.

28- What´s your favourite trip? – When I went to India.

29- What´s your favourite country? - My favourite country is Spain.

30- What do you prefer: English, Indian, Japanese or Spanish people? – Really, I like them all.
